X3LA Is A Free Weekly Faith-Based Drop-In
Group Focusing On Individualized Sexual
Recovery Goals.

 

  • Attendance is anonymous and confidential.
  • Group is led by a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
  • The group roster numbers around 200 men.
  • If you chose to be a part of the roster, an anonymous weekly email reminder is sent out.
  • About 4 to 10 men attend this meeting weekly.
  • Each meeting lasts an hour and a half.
  • Each meeting begins in prayer.
  • Each attendee has the option of taking uninterrupted time (about 5 minutes) to respond to the X3LA Response Sheet, discuss where he is in life and/or his challenges, or pass.
  • There is no requirement to speak or participate during group at any time.
  • After each participant has shared, that portion of group is closed in prayer.
  • Depending on how much time is left before the end of the meeting, remaining group members discuss topics related to sexual behavior, relationships, faith, and community.
  • Attendees may leave at any time during the meeting. There are no obligations other than mutual respect for other group members.

The Faith & Sex Center provides licensed psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups either in person or via videotelephone (i.e. Facetime and WhatsApp). Its offices are in Los Angeles but its clients are throughout California.
